Film Summaries -- Think About It
Describes the corrosion process, the relationship between metals in the galvanic series, and illustrates how one metal will sacrifice itself to save another from corrosion. Examines the failure of a paint coating; contrasts the performance of ordinary paint with zinc rich paint. Depicts zinc coating methods including metallizing, hot dip galvanizing, continuous sheet galvanizing, electroplating and sherardizing. Explains relationships between zinc thickness, environment and service life. Shows examples and benefits of galvanized products in service. (Produced by the Zinc Development Assoc.. and the Zinc Institute. Running time 22 min.)
